The Golden Lens: A Season of Connection

Introduced in 2022, the Golden Lens competition aims to promote ageing well by celebrating the skills of older Western Australians through the art of photography and demonstrate that people can learn and create at any age.

With the holiday season approaching and many seniors using this period to spend time with family and friends, this competition provides WA Seniors Card members an opportunity to share their experiences through photography, with the introduction of a special holiday edition.

'The Golden Lens: A Season of Connection' encourages seniors to capture images that reflect the meaningful relationships and connections that enrich our lives during this special time.

All entries must be received by 15 January 2025 and contestants can choose to submit in more than one category, with a limit of one photo per category. Please submit entries via email to goldenlens@communities.wa.gov.au.

For complete details please read the Terms and Conditions documents below.

Categories

There are four categories that contestants can enter, and all submissions are to include a title and an artist's statement of 100 words or less. An artist's statement is a general introduction of the artist's work and should cover the basic ideas presented.
