Transwa operates regional rail and coach services to more than 275 locations in the State. Transwa's train services travel to Northam and Toodyay (AvonLink), Kalgoorlie (Prospector) and Bunbury (Australind). Transwa's coach services operate from Kalbarri in the north, Meekatharra in the north east, Esperance in the south east and Augusta in the south.

 

Transwa patrons can now experience a super-smooth ride on the most sophisticated, passenger-friendly train service in Australia – the Prospector. The state-of-the-art high speed Prospector, introduced into service on 28 June 2004, can travel at up to 160km/hour, enabling it to complete the 653km trip from Perth to Kalgoorlie in under 7 hours. The Prospector, which has been operating for 5 years, recently reached the milestone of having travelled one million kilometres.

 

Standard features include personal music channels, new release movies, access to power points for laptop computers, buffet and special facilities for people with mobility difficulties. The Prospector joins the Australind and AvonLink train services as part of Transwa’s regional rail service.

Senior concession travel for Western Australian residents in possession of a Seniors SmartRider can now book Transwa services online. Senior cardholders from other States can obtain the 50% concession on bookings by telephoning 1300 662 205.
